Why does my skateboard wobble
When it moves move with it. Another solution is to carve it out. If your board begins to wobble simply start a light carve back and forth. What this does is naturally relaxes your muscles but at a cost to your speed. Another factor of speed wobbles could be an improper sized board. Getting a board that is the right length for both your height and for your style of riding is very important.
If your board is too short for you, you will experience some problems and one of them will be speed wobbles. Solution: Make sure your board is the proper size for your height. If you have a really long board, adjust your riding style and make sure your stance keeps your weight neutral over the center of the board.

Nearly all speed boarders run a lower angle at the rear, so that the turning comes from the front and deadens the rear.
This will also lower the chances of you getting wheel bite. The split baseplate angle works a lot better than if you also lower the baseplate angle at the front.
The dampening effect comes from the rear turning less that the front. Lastly a good analogy for speed wobbles is balancing on a slack line. You can get the wobbles there too especially when on one foot. Anything that changes the frequency or dampens it, is good. I live in Brooklyn, New York and the size and design of the wheel ensures that pebbles and uneven gaps in the sidewalk will not send me flying.
Reading this article I learned that what I can do once I start going downhill is to change my stance on the board. Since I do a great deal of tick tacking, my feet tend to be parallel to the wheels instead of, as you described in the article, having the front foot planted perpendicular to the wheels, and the rear foot resting on the ball of the foot. I often take my skateboard to nearby Prospect Park and make an attempt at coasting down one of the serious hills, but, I get the wobbles and I quickly put a foot down or jump off.
Well, I do one trick. I use my board primarily as a form of transportation. On a flat, and going up hills instead of merely pushing off with a foot repeatedly I tick-tack to gain velocity. Currently bandaged up haha but I attempted to ride the curves, which turned into VERY wide curves unlike the small back and forth wobble and i think the board or my brain might have thrown me off.
Ate gravel. But definitely understand what I need to improve on, just very disappointed that I could have made it down without falling! Most of the problems here mention can be solved by adjusting or replacing the skateboard bushings. This is quite easy, especially if you have a skate tool. Beginners will have a harder time learning to ride a skateboard with loose trucks.
After all, a more stable board will help you keep your balance. Adjusting the tightness of the trucks will solve your problem. If you still feel like the trucks are too loose you should get harder bushings. This will render the bushings useless. If interested, follow me on Instagram or subscribe to my Youtube Channel.
